1:30 AM I exchanged harvest pictures with Cash and we all called it a night. It started raining around Midnight. 8:45 AM Good morning and welcome to Sunday. It quit raining about the time we woke up this morning. Never any hard rain, but just a sprinkle all night long. Eric has already washed up truck #4 this morning so that it looks good again. The gravel dust was getting thick. 9:30 AM We left Harrold headed for home. Tyler and Tommy will be moving about 100 miles north today with truck #4 and combine #4. Brent and Shawn send some of the guys out to the field to service just that one combine, drop the header on a header trailer and then bring the combine back to town to load it. It is possible the wheat would be dry enough late today, but that isn't really even a concern yet. About 2 more days should finish up the spring wheat in this area, but one of the remaining fields is still several days off. 5:00 PM Arrived home in Iowa. All the crops look dry, but some are past salvation. It was 586 miles from Harrold to my house.

7:30 PM I've unpacked my car and got everything set for going back to work tomorrow. What a vacation. I can't believe how fast the last week flew by. I still have a lot of video to edit and compress, then I'll be posting that up here too. |
